Fireworks in a Jar

So I saw this on Pinterest and went to do it right away. Brandon had taken Weston on a walk so it was the prefect time to do it with Hunter and didn't take much time at all. Plus everything was in my kitchen no need for the store.  This is the website I used to guide me for Fireworks in a Jar

This was all the stuff we needed.

Food Coloring
Water (Warm)
Oil
Jar
Fork
Small Bowl

Fill the jar 3/4 full. Then in the small bowl measure out 2-3 tablespoons of oil and add 4 drops on each food coloring you want to do. I let Hunter pick the colors he picked red, pink and green. The red definitely over powered.

Once you add the drops of food coloring stir with a fork.

Pour oil and food coloring into the jar of warm water.

The food coloring will dissolve in the water but not the oil being that the oil is less dense then the water. So the Oil will stay floating on the top of the water.  The drops of color sink being that they are heavier then the oil and when they sink they will dissolve in water. Ends up looking like little explosions and are rings.

Hunter thought this was super cool and really enjoyed doing it. When Brandon and Weston got back from there walk we had just finished and then did it again so Weston could do it. It took us about 10 -15 minutes total with prep and photos.
