Refreshing Towels

I recently learned about this trick on refreshing towels. Do you ever noticed your towels smelling funky?  Over time, towels build up detergent and fabric softener, leaving them unable   to absorb as much water and smell.  Here is a way to refresh your towels by washing them   once with hot water and 1cup vinegar, then a 2nd time with hot water and half cup baking soda. This strips the residue and leaves your towels fresh and able to absorb more water again and smelling wonderful.

If your not feeling like running two washes, I also tried washing with just the vinegar and that works too. I had a friend tell me that she refreshes her towels washing once on hot with one cup vinegar, 1/2 cup bleach and half the detergent. I haven't yet to try this I was out to of bleach plus it made me a tad bit nervous about the bleach with my blue towels.  Hope this tip will help you with fresh smelling towels.

Do you ever refresh your towels and if so what do you do?
